Where do you take visiting friends in the Barossa?

We are always asked to provide tips for tourists and visitors to the Barossa. There is a great list featured in the winter issue of Barossa Living Magazine. It offers more to see and do than just activities for vinophiles. You can take friends and family a bit off the main tourist trail and show off areas of natural beauty with amazing lookouts, it also covers foodie and cultural hangouts. We must thank the crew from Lyndoch Hill for the mention too!

April07 156

See us at Lyndoch Family Day Monday 1st April along with The Borderers and Ticklish Allsorts and the start of grape treading heats. A relaxed and entertaining day for a mere $5 entry fee, so round up a party and enjoy the day with us!

You will see Ron getting around at all the Town events making sure that the tradition of Grape Treading continues with Liebichwein as proud sponsors. It’s well worth a try to vie for prizes including Liebichwein magnums, Barossa beer, plus Festival gear to wear! The final will be held on Sunday 7th April in Williamstown. More information and download an entry form: http://barossavintagefestival.com.au/event/grape-treading-championship/

On Thursday 4th April meet Ron amongst nearly 40 winemakers at Legends Behind the Barrel and taste the very best Barossa icon wines! Ron will be serving 2012 Shiraz from the barrel and showing the very special Darkie Shiraz vintage 2006.

On Saturday 6th April don’t miss the Vintage Festival Parade winding its way from Nuriootpa from 10am and finishing at Tanunda Oval Park around 1pm for fun and festivities just like the good old days! Catch our float along the way.
