Welcome to Liebichwein
Liebichwein (pronounced Lee-BICK wine) is a Barossa German translation for “I love wine”.
The Liebich family have been grape growers and winemakers in the Barossa Valley since 1919. And like generations before them, great pride is taken in every aspect of production from grape growing to wine packaging.
Over the years, Ron Liebich has built a reputation for bold fruit-driven red wines and is one of the Barossa Valley’s most respected producers of fortified wines.
Ron and Janet Liebich continue the Barossa’s proud tradition and passion for sharing fabulous wine, food and company. We hope you’ll join us soon at the cellar door to enjoy a truly unique Barossa wine experience.
A Little Gem
Spent a lovely hour or so talking to the host and sampling an amazing range of fortified wines (ports). We were fortunate to be told of this little winery in our search for a decent port in the Barossa. We weren’t disappointed! A must to visit! Forget the big wineries, this is a little gem.
We spent three days touring various wineries in the area and stumbled upon this winery on our third day. I was so pleased that we did. Run by husband and wife team Janet and Ron, it was fantastic to get that personal touch. Janet was a fabulous host and took us through the range of delicious wines and fortified wines. I bought a bottle of their sparkling Pinot Noir ‘ Lovely’. They didn’t have a bottle ready, so I was able to watch as Ron bottled it for me in the cellar and Janet applied the label. You couldn’t get a more personal experience…this was certainly a highlight for me. Thank you Janet and Ron x
