A rare opportunity to release 100% Pinot Noir sourced from fruit grown on the Liebich property. The vines grow on heavy biscay soil in the southern part of the Barossa Valley. Two Pinot Noir clones, MV6 and Mariafeldt, were picked at critical optimum ripeness, destemmed, whole berries cold soaked before fermentation. Fruit was fermented on skins then basket-pressed after 8 days. The unwooded wine was bottled without fining or filtration to retain the essence of classic Pinot Noir characteristics.
Medium ruby colour. Enticing pomegranate and ripe strawberry aromas with refreshing acidity. Lighter body and alcohol makes this delightful drinking for any season.
The label features Tigger the beloved winery dog who loved chasing hares between the vines. Tigger is no longer with, but his memory lives on with this fun design.
