Old Vine Shiraz is a rare non-vintage wine celebrating the depth and character of Barossa Valley Shiraz. A special super blend created from standout vintages of our estate-grown fruit, carefully selected to showcase the richness and longevity of mature Barossa vines.
These old vines, grown in southern Barossa in Rowland Flat, produce small yields of intensely flavoured fruit. Traditional winemaking techniques including open fermentation, gentle extraction and careful oak maturation allow the vineyard character to shine through while building complexity and balance. The wine has matured patiently in seasoned American and French oak hogsheads, developing layers of flavour and structure while maintaining the generous fruit expression typical of Barossa Shiraz.
A refined yet powerful wine showing aromas of blackberry, dark plum and subtle spice with hints of vanilla and chocolate from oak maturation. The palate is richly textured with silky tannins supporting concentrated dark fruit flavours. A long, smooth finish reveals lingering notes of sweet spice and fine oak complexity.
Enjoy with slow cooked meats, roasted lamb, braised beef dishes or aged hard cheeses. While exceptional drinking now, this wine will continue to develop beautifully with careful cellaring.
