With our Barossa winemaking heritage going back to 1919, Ron Liebich knows how to produce top notch Shiraz. Sourced from estate vineyards, this wine is our most popular red over the years. It's named "Leveret", the French term for a baby hare, which narrowly escapes being run over by the tractor from row to row in the vineyard.

A premium single vineyard wine from 100% Shiraz planted by Ron Liebich. Vines are hand-pruned and receive minimal irrigation. The vines grow on heavy black biscay soil at Rowland Flat on the eastern foothills of the Barossa.

Vintage 2018 was a warm, dry season producing high quality fruit with good flavour and colour development. All Liebich reds are made using traditional techniques of hand plunging, basket-pressing and bottling without fining or filtration. All these techniques help to preserve the essence of fruit from vine to glass. Taste the full spectrum of dark berries typical of Barossa Shiraz. Long maturation in seasoned American and French oak has delivered a complex wine with subtle spicy vanilla flavours. The oak tannins are well-softened leaving a smooth silky finish. Medium to full bodied style.

An easy-drinking red in the Liebichwein range. Perfect for everyday drinking with a pizza, pasta or any hearty meal. Drink now or cellar up to 5 years when stored in cool conditions.
