Wine Bar at Eyre Peninsula Field Days


Eyre Peninsula Field Days entice to head west every two years for a huge 3 day event in August. We make sure that we’re stocked with plenty of wine including a pallet tank of Ron’s Blend Tawny to sell by the litre.

The tasting bar serves a range of Liebichwein reds and fortifieds in the Food and Lifestyle area.

It’s fantastic to return each year and see our regular customers and meet new ones and to give them a taste of the Barossa Valley.

Every year we head west to the Eyre Peninsula Field Days in Cleve, We load up the car and trailer with plenty of wine including a pallet tank of Tawny to sell by the litre. A tasting bar with wine sales is set up in the Food and Lifestyle area. It’s fantastic to return each year and see our regular customers and meet new ones.

The 2016 Field Days are August 9, 10 and 11.

You can find us at Site 38 on B Road located close to the western public entry point.

Barrel Shed Winter Warmer 2015

Liebichwein invites you to get cosy in the Barrel Shed for a warming meal over a glass of wine on a casual Sunday afternoon.

Live music by Mike Roberts. Food includes artisan cheese platters, gourmet pies and homemade chocolate truffles.

The winner of the Home Barrel Competition will be announced at 2:00pm. Winemaker Ron Liebich will host a museum barrel tasting at 2:30pm (tickets available on the day).

$10 entry includes a glass of wine. Children free. Activities for children.

Food and wine available to purchase.

Home Barrel Competition 2015

After a year or two off and many customer requests this fortified wine judging competition returns in Winter 2015. The competition is open to all home barrel owners Australia-wide. The competition started as part of Fortified Fest events where we celebrated Liebich family fortified winemaking traditions. Wines will be judged in a blind tasting by experienced palates.

Ron has always encouraged budding home blenders to bring in samples to cellar door get his expert advice on how to improve their blend to suit their personal preferences, be it Tawny, Muscat or Semillon or combining different varieties and ages.

Entries are due by 14th July and announced on 26th July at a special event in the Barrel Shed. All entrants receive tasting notes and comments on their blend.

Barossa…Be Consumed Gourmet Weekend

We are excited to be hosting this intimate indulgent treat as part of the 2014 Barossa Gourmet Weekend. Our event will be similar to last year’s successful master class.

Just Desserts…and Wine

Be taken on a journey of flavour with four classic French-inspired desserts paired with four classic Barossa fortified wines. Taste additional barrel samples with our winemaker and rare wines aged over 25 years.

This master class will take you behind the scenes of the world of fortified wine covering the grape varieties, barrel ageing, food matching and most importantly the sensory experience.
