This is a fresh and dry unwooded style produced in a limited quantity from fruit grown on the Liebich property in Rowland Flat. Viognier is an exciting Rhone variety thriving in the Barossa climate. Vintage 2019 yields were very good (5 tonne/acre) considering the warmer and drier-than-average season.
Gentle basket-pressing and cool fermentation captures the exotic tropical, musk and quince flavours. A small portion of Gewurztraminer enhances the attractive tropical fruit flavours. A fresh and light style with a silky palate and delicate fruit sweetness. Enjoy this wine with grilled seafood and richly flavoured foods.
