- Elegant Barossa Shiraz with a silky smooth finish
- Full of dark ripe berries, vanilla and chocolate flavours
- Named “Leveret”, French for baby hare, which are seen in the vineyard
A premium single vineyard wine from 100% Shiraz planted by Ron Liebich. Vines are hand-pruned and receive minimal irrigation. The vines grow on heavy black biscay soil at Rowland Flat on the eastern foothills of the Barossa.
This wine is named "Leveret", the French term for a baby hare, which narrowly escape being run over by the tractor from row to row in the vineyard.
Traditional techniques of hand plunging, basket-pressing and bottling without fining or filtration, all help to preserve the essence of fruit. Taste the full spectrum of dark berries typical of Barossa Shiraz. Maturation for three years in seasoned American and French oak has delivered a complex wine with sweet spices, chocolate and vanillin oak flavours. The oak tannins are well-softened and leave a silky finish.
A complex full-bodied wine in the Liebichwein range. Perfect for everyday drinking with a hearty meal or will reward cellaring up to 10 years.
