Viognier 2012 Has Sold Out

Viognier 2012 crayfish smlOur first ever Viognier wine was released soon after the 2012 harvest. Ron made the conscious decision to keep it completely unwooded to capture the essence of the variety.

Viognier is rather vigourous in the vineyard and seems to have taken well to our heavy/clay soils.

The ideal growing season showed in the vibrant fruit flavours.  Intensely fruity with peach, pineapple and quince – a real fruit punch! Some viscosity on the palate helped to balance the crisp and steely finish.

It was so immensely drinkable we decided to make a follow up from the 2013 vintage which will be released in November.
