After picking up a Silver at the 2007 Australian Small Winemakers Show, it was awarded Gold at the recent 2008 Barossa Show.
Showcases lucious aged rancio characters of burnt honeyed toffee with aromatic floral
musk and exquisite flavours. Drink to 5 years from now. 18% alc/vol
Varietal: Riesling (66%) with Gewürztraminer (34%)
Region: Rowland Flat, Barossa Valley
A succulent fruity blend of Riesling with Gewürztraminer grapes that were part biodynamically grown on 10
year old vines in heavy red / brown earth, in the eastern foothills of Rowland Flat.
The late-picked Gewürztraminer fruit was allowed to fully ripen to 17°Baume, at which time the Riesling was also picked,
that being 13.5°Baume. The finished wine retains perfectly balanced sweetness with the natural acidity.
Tasting Notes:
The bouquet is concentrated and complex, there is the extraordinary spicy perfumed nose, with sweet candied citrus fruit
exploding on the palate, followed by a cleansing acid finish. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif, with a dessert, or with a
delicately spiced curry.
Winemaker Ron Liebich delights in experimenting with new styles and blends as well as grows less common grape varieties. This collection introduces some private winemaking passions of Ron which do not fit our current sales portfolio.
Varietal: 100% Shiraz
Region: Rowland Flat, Barossa Valley
Tasting Notes: This wine from 40 year old vines is an explosive effort offering an inky purple colour,
loads of chocolate-infused blackberry flavours and surprisingly well-hidden alcohol for such a flavoursome, rich Barossa Shiraz.
It should drink well for a decade if you can keep it that long!

Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Region: Rowland Flat, Barossa Valley
Tasting Notes: Yes - we know it’s not the typical region for this wine style,
but we had to have a go and it was a successful experiment! Only 50 cases were made after a picnic party where some un-ripened
grapes were stomped by foot. We could not waste the juice, so later decided to crush some riper fruit. The resulting blend is a unique beauty.

The grapes were picked from bush vines growing on the left of our driveway. Only two small barrels of dry red were produced. We cannot wait until there is enough fortified Mataro available as well, as we know how good that can be - just ask tasters who attended the Fortified Fest!
Averaged out, these climatic conditions resulted in excellent quality, despite picking 4 - 6 weeks early.
A very good year for whites, reds and especially fortifieds.
We cannot believe we had picked and crushed all our grapes by March 20th (before Easter).
Normally we leave fortifieds until late April and into May!
